Our Story
Indie Street started as a broadcast radio show in fall 2004. For the next four years, Nick Rennis and Eric Murphy hosted one of the most popular shows on 88.9FM, WMXM at Lake Forest College. The original weekly, two-hour show was bumped up to a three-hour extravaganza in fall 2007. Indie Street began to take on a strong personality with features such as the New Music Sandwich and the widely popular Animal Battle series.
Though the years have seen many changes, Indie Street continues to deliver when it comes to reviewing the best there is to offer in the realm of independent music. In the podcast, you’ll experience all of the witty banter that the show has become renowned for and some exciting surprises for our all-new format.
Thanks for listening.
